Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government is considering unemployment allowance and youth allowance for skill training in the state from Rs 3000 to Rs 10,000 per month or for giving stipend. Do not be surprised if this announcement is made in the Budget presented on February 20. In the state, the number of unemployed has increased for the last five years, so that the government is worried. Minister of Labor and Employment Dilip Thakore said that we would like at least one lakh young people to benefit from the scheme in the first year. As well as the State Government, together with the government, a plan will be prepared to provide technical and financial help to unemployed educated youth and those with literacy.
Under this, training will be given for at least one lakh youths in the private sector in the first year.
The state government will make provision in this budget for the next budget. Stipend and skill training will be given to unemployed youth for 1 year. For this, the government will contract with private companies. They will give on-the-job training to the youth, and will also give token money.
After realizing this plan, we have approached the Central Government for financial and technical assistance, the state government will allocate Rs. 350 crore for this scheme.
