Government employees' retirement age will not change: all speculation ends

There is one important and good news for central employees. There will be no change in the age of retirement of central employees. It is also debated that the government can increase the retirement age of the Central Workers from 60 to 62 years. However, the government has clarified that there will be no change in the retirement age. The central government has said all the speculation about this, that there is no proposal for change in the retirement age of government employees. Replying to a question asked by Bansilal Mahat in Lok Sabha on Wednesday, Joint Secretary Jitendra Singh said that no change in age of central service staff is proposed.

It is noteworthy that there was speculation about the timing of central employees' retirement. To reduce the burden of increasing wages and pension burden of central employees, the retirement age can be reduced from 60 to 58. But later the government denied this speculation.
